Almost every athlete has had a game or competition where frustration got the better of them. But if you ask, they will likely tell you they’ve also had a game or competition where frustration helped them achieve one of their best results. For most athletes, the ability to use frustration to their advantage rather than letting it derail their mental game is a matter of luck and circumstance (sometimes it goes well, and sometimes it doesn’t).
